(a) If you cancel more than 28 days before your booking, there is a $50 administration fee payable per room per day booked.
(b) If you cancel within 8 – 27 days, 50% of the full room tariff is refundable. If you paid half of your room rate as a deposit, your deposit will not be refunded. We will however try to retain your deposit for an alternative date (within 3 months) if possible.
(c) Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. The full room tariff is payable. If you fail to arrive for your booking, you will be liable for the full booking cost. (d) A 2% transaction fee is payable for Visa and Master Card credit card transactions and 3% for Amex credit card transaction. Accounts can be paid via EFTPOS or Cash. Cheques are not accepted.
Detailed Outline of Policy
If you have issued your Credit Card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and, section b or c or d above applies, then Maleny Terrace Cottages reserves the right to Debit your Credit Card for the expected cost of the room booked by you.
If you have paid a deposit by cash, EFT or any other means and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Maleny Terrace Cottages reserves the right to retain the deposit paid. In cases where the deposit does not cover the actual loss incurred, Maleny Terrace Cottages reserves the right to issue an invoice for the balance to ensure prompt payment within 7 days
If you have issued your Credit Card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Maleny Terrace Cottages reserves the right to debit your Credit Card for the full amount of the expected room cost.
In all situations described above, where a deposit has not been paid and credit card details have not been issued, Maleny Terrace Cottages reserves the right to issue an invoice for the appropriate amount to ensure prompt payment within 7 days.
Check-in is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in and/or check-out are by arrangement only. Payment for all accommodation must be made in full on the day of arrival (if not already done so). Payments can be made by Cash, MasterCard, Visa, AMEX or EFTPOS. Personal cheques are not accepted.
No visitors are allowed in rooms after 10pm. Any damage to the room or property may be charged, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
Pool opening hours are 7am to 7pm. Please respect the privacy of other guests by adhering to these hours.
Maleny Terrace Cottages is a NON-SMOKING establishment. If you do smoke inside, you will be charged appropriate cleaning charges. Cooking of odoriferous foods (i.e. fried food, fish & some seafood’s) is not permitted in the motel. Charges may apply for extra cleaning and deodorizing and may be charged to your credit card or an invoice will be issued to you to ensure prompt payment within 7 days.
All breakages must be paid for. In the event that willful damage to the property occurs or breakages to furniture or fixtures occurs that is a result of more than just normal/reasonable wear and tear, Maleny Terrace Cottages reserves the right to charge the relevant guests the relevant replacement costs and any expected loss of income.
